Instructions: We recommend attaching to the wall using 2 tightly hammered nails for which holes have been provided. This prevents the planter from tilting forward when hung. COVID-19 LOCKDOWN FAQS
Are you currently shipping orders?
Starting 1st June 2020, we have begun to ship orders. However, due to the current status of Mumbai (where we are based) as a red zone, you may experience slower shipping times. We are facing certain logistical difficulties such as staff availability & movement between our storage hubs. Plus we are in the process of fulfilling our several pending orders. But be assured that your orders will reach you safe & secure.
The current situation is ever-changing and unpredictable and we will send you regular updates on the situation as and when we get information.
I have already placed an order during the Lockdown period but the item has not been shipped. What now?
We are in the process of shipping out pending orders on priority. However, you still have the option of a full refund, no questions asked, before the item is shipped. Do be aware that you will lose the opportunity of any Lockdown sale discount (if applicable) and the availability of stock. Please contact us with your decision in such a case.
It's a cool name - don't you think? But that aside, we do have a philosophy behind it. With homes getting smaller and smaller, we felt there was a gap in the market for really fun, unusual, value-for-money accessories that are multi-functional and space-saving.
Where can I purchase 1 BHK products?
1 BHK products can be purchased via this website and also via other marketplaces like PepperFry and Amazon. Making our products available on other marketplaces allows customers to access some items which may not be available to them via our website, mostly due to logistical reasons, or due to the fact that we cannot accept certain payment methods such as COD outside Mumbai through our website. Moreover, customers can take advantage of various promotions these marketplaces offer from time to time.
Each item description has information at the bottom on where else besides 1bhkinteriors.com, that you can purchase the item. However please note that prices may differ due to marketplace fees.
While their prices and policies may differ from ours, you can be assured you will be receiving the same quality and original items as we sell here. We also do pop-ups and exhibitions from time to time. Please follow us on our social media or subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of these.
We are not liable for the authenticity of 1 BHK items purchased via any other means.
Do you have a brick-and-mortar store?
We have a studio in Worli, Mumbai which we are hoping to soon convert into a retail store. However, it may not be able to accommodate all our items, and especially large furniture. You can contact us in advance if you want to pick up any products or have a cup of coffee with us!
What are your shipping costs and timelines?
Shipping is free and fast on all items but do read where your item can ship to before hitting that BUY button!
- Free shipping pan-India
- We will only be able to ship once the national Covid-19 all India Lockdown is lifted. You can still continue to place your orders in the meantime.
- After the Lockdown is lifted, please allow up to 4 working days for shipping within Mumbai and 7 working days for everywhere else.
Furniture items also ship free BUT currently, we are only able to ship furniture items within Mumbai. COD is not available for furniture items.
Sofas Allow 2 weeks for shipping within Mumbai. Through this website, sofas ship within Mumbai only and are not eligible for COD. However most of our designs are available via other marketplaces such as Pepperfry which offer pan-India shipping, returns and COD in most cases.

Do you offer international shipping?
We currently offer shipping within India only but we hope to reach our international customers in the near future.
I'm concerned about the environment. How will my order be packaged?
We try as much as possible to reuse packaging and it may sometimes mean that your package is not as "pretty" as you (and we) would like, but we took a long hard look at the environmental issues around us and decided we can't in good conscience create more garbage for the world to handle. We think our customers may feel the same. We would love it if you could reuse our packaging as well.
We may also choose to split the order into two or more packages if it is too bulky.
We do not send a print-out of the invoice, except in the case of COD orders. Instead we will email it to you. That way you have a more secure way of keeping a record of your purchase and the world saves trees.
Can I get an invoice with my GST number added so that I can claim GST set-off for my business?
Yes. Simply add a note at check-out or contact us.
What kind of payment methods do you offer?
Currently we offer a varied range of payment options including credit card, debit card, netbanking, PayTM, UPI, wallets and COD to most locations within India and only on non-furniture items (at a flat rate of Rs. 50 per order).
If you wish to opt for COD, please select the Shipping with COD option in the Shipping section and then again in the Payments section as shown below. Rs. 50 will automatically be added to your total bill. Keep in mind that any promotion code like 1STBHK which offers 10% off accessories to new users is not applicable on the COD cost. COD is available to most pincodes within India.
The following transactions will not go through or will become invalid over a period of specified time:
- A non-Mumbai based customer who purchases any furniture items (sofas, chairs, tables) through this website. We will automatically void the purchase and suggest an alternative way that you can purchase the product to deliver to your location.
- If you select Free Shipping in the Shipping Section and COD in the Payments section. INSTEAD, you would need to select Standard Shipping (Cash on Delivery) in the Shipping section priced at Rs. 50 and COD will automatically be selected once you reach the Payments section. Also, Rs. 50 will automatically be added to your bill.
- International shipping locations
I want to save cash and have a lovely home! Do you have any ongoing promotions?
We offer 10% off on all home accessories to new customers with discount code 1STBHK. Be sure to apply the code at check-out. Keep in mind that this is not applicable on the COD cost or on gift vouchers.
We may have other promotions going on which you can usually find in our Clearance section or One Week Deals. Our marketplace partners such as Pepperfry and Amazon and our payment partners may also offer discounts and cashback schemes from time to time.

Do you accept bulk orders?
We do accept bulk orders. Depending on available stock, please allow 45-60 days for delivery from the date of confirmation. Small customisations are possible. You can estimate an additional couple of weeks to the above for designing and sampling. You can contact us directly with your request and for us to add you to our Whatsapp list where we send out our catalogue.
Can I return an item and get a replacement or refund?
We usually do not accept returns due to logistical difficulties and expenses. However, we may accept them on a case-to-case basis if:
1) The item was misrepresented on our website (measurements were wrong, information was wrong etc);
2) The item has a manufacturing defect;
3) The item was damaged in transit.
4) The wrong item was sent.
In such cases, we would first try to replace the item. A refund would be the last recourse. However, in such a case, your refund would be processed via the same method you made the payment s a credit card would be refunded via credit card, PayTM would be refunded via PayTM etc. Similarly, a gift card would be refunded as a gift card balance. An exception is a COD which would be processed via bank transfer. Please note that any extra charges applicable on COD orders are not refundable.
Please contact us with any issues within one week of receiving your order – we really want to ensure you’re happy with your purchase.
What happens if I forgot to apply a discount code on my transaction or there was an error in applying the discount code?
Get in touch with us. We can offer you two alternatives:
1) If it's a discount code only applicable to first-time users, we can give you another discount code of the same percentage/value to be used in the future.
2) We can give you a free gift voucher of the same value as the discount value you missed out on. For example, if you spent Rs. 5000 without applying a 10% discount code and missed out on the Rs. 500 discount, we can offer you a free gift voucher of Rs. 500 to be used within the next month. This gift voucher would not be combined with any other promotion being offered but can be used against sale items.
Can I use my new user discount code on my second purchase transaction if I forgot to apply it on the first?
Not automatically but you can contact us to still avail of benefits. [Check the previous question for your options.]
Can I send the discount code to someone else?
Yes but just keep in mind that the discount code can only be used once so in doing so you are forfeiting your right to use it yourself.
How do gift cards work?
When you purchase a gift card, we will generate a discount code for the equivalent value valid for one year and send it to you via email. If you have any problems, contact us.
Do I get a physical gift card?
No, this is a discount code which can only be used once so be careful that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Do not share the code with anyone else unless you are willing to forfeit the value to them.
How many times can I use the same gift card?
Only once. You need to use up the entire value in one purchase. Any amount left over will be forfeited.
Can I use the gift card towards sale items?
Yes! You can use the gift card over any kind of discount on the site including accessories that have been discounted by 10% using code 1STBHK.
What is the validity of a gift card?
One year. You may however use the voucher to purchase a fresh voucher closer to the expiry date. This effectively extends the value of your voucher.
What can I use a gift card towards?
All 1 BHK products on this site only. We may in the future sell products from other vendors on this site but the voucher only applies to 1 BHK items.
Do I get 10% off on gift cards using code 1STBHK?
Nope because that code only applies to accessories. The person you gift it to can however purchase accessories at 10% off using the gift card if s/he is a new user.
I need to make a minimum purchase of Rs. 500 in order to use code 1STBHK and get 10% off on accessories? Can I use the gift card towards that?
Yes you can use it to reach the minimum purchase value but the gift card itself will not be discounted (see previous question).
What values are the gift cards available in?
Rs. 500, Rs. 1000, Rs. 1500 and Rs. 2000. If you want a higher value, you can purchase multiple quantities of these till the total adds up to the value you want.
